Charlene Bicalho is a Brazilian interdisciplinary artist, cultural manager, and independent curator who uses photography, video, performance, and installations in works that reflect her interest in the legacy of expressions of popular culture and traditional Brazilian communities, while reflecting on processes of the decolonization of black women. Born in 1982, she is now based primarily in the city of São Paulo, where she creates projects in various spaces.
